Wedding Spotlight: Charissa and Diego’s Westlake Village Inn Wedding in California
Charissa and Diego’s wedding helped to bring the recovery of Los Angeles full circle for me.
They held their lovely and incredibly picturesque affair at the Westlake Village Inn. Honestly, I had never been to Westlake Village when I lived in LA because I always jumped off the 101 at Las Virgenes Rd for some beach-time in Malibu, never noticed that there were really nice, normal towns just past there!
The Westlake Village Inn was stunning, and basically the core of it’s beauty is the exact opposite of Colorado’s. While many of Colorado’s wedding venues take advantage of its expansive vistas and pristine wilderness, the Westlake Village Inn was a carefully choreographed masterpiece of thoughtfully camouflaged views, blind winding paths, and meticulously sculpted gardens which culminate in an impossible Garden of Eden in the middle of this huge city, right next to a golf course (that you would never know was there…).
Charissa and Diego gave us a dream wedding that day, everything was so thoughtful and detailed. Charissa clearly had spent a lot of her life planning this wedding in the last year, and at the end of it, as we walked out of the reception into the cool California air, I felt like they had allowed Charlotte and I another chance to reclaim a little bit more of LA, and for that and more, we are eternally grateful.
